This week we finished up with Sequencing and Determing Importance in Reading. Here’s a sequencing writing we did.
We also focused on our reading Fluency by doing a Readers Theatre.
We moved onto Fractions in math
And we began learning about Maps.

We've been busy learning about Determining Importance and Sequencing in reading theses last couple of weeks.
In Math we finished up with Adding and Subtracting. We'll keep working on this throughout the year but we will take a break and will move into another SOL standard for now.
We've been learning about Goods, Services, Consumers, Producers and NEEDS vs WANTS in Social Studies. It's the perfect time of year to learn about these things!
And, of course, we had to get some decorations up :)

We’ve been busy learning about new reading skills this week. Here’s what we’re learning to do when we read:
We also learned about ABC order this week!
In math we’ve been working on adding and subtracting
And in Unit Study we have been learning about Powhatan and Pocahontas.
We even made these cute guys and talked about what we are most thankful for :)

We had a great week!
In math we reviewed all we’ve learned during the first 9 weeks.
In reading we’ve been working on character feelings and character traits.
We’ve been talking about the American Flag in social studies.
On Tuesday we had Pumpkin Day! It was so much fun!!

In reading this week we learned how to Visualize when we read
We also learned about character feelings and character traits
We finished up with patterns and began sorting in math
And in Social Studies we learned about Voting and Local Government
